1. Cut out the Coffee. You really don’t need it.
Although coffee gives you an initial buzz and a quick fizz, you are much better without it in your body. Remember, caffeine is a drug. I myself have fallen into the trap of not being able to go a day without it’s just simply a state of mind.

Try green teas instead, although they take a bit of getting used to they can soon grow on you, and there is a flavour for everybody. They are a great way of detoxing your body. Green Teas do also contain caffeine however your body is less likely to rely on it as an energy fix.

2. Swap Fatty Meats like Pork for Turkey, or Chicken.
Meats like Pork are really fatty, and although it is incredibly tasty there are better alternatives out there.

3. Say a fond farewell to fizzy Pop & Energy Drinks.
God I HATE these. This is the first piece of advice I give to anybody who asks me how they can lose a bit of weight….and they always respond with, ‘but I only drink Diet’ Absolute rubbish. There is no such thing. The only things its good for is unblocking drains!

4. Water is King.
You cannot drink enough of it. I know it is incredibly boring but you need to be drinking at LEAST 2 litres of water per day. Your body is made up of 73% of the stuff.  I guarantee by only drinking water, after 3 – 4 days you will feel amazing, less bloated, more alert, more energy, less hunger. I Know this because it’s all I drink!

5. If you must eat chocolate, go to the dark side.
Dark chocolate has less carbs then generic milk chocolate does, which is a good start already and it is also lot more filling so you don’t need to eat as much….although I am sure you will.
If you were to do your research there are a lot more scientific facts behind this.

6. Coconut Oil.
If you do need to fry food as part of your meal, use Coconut Oil instead of generic cooking oil. Not only is it much healthier option and packed with goodness but it adds that bit extra flavour.

7. Ever thought of freezing grapes?
Frozen grapes are is an amazing alternative for sweets.  Pop them in the freezer overnight and take a handful out when you have that sweet tooth. They really taste amazing as well!

8. Do you drink Pints? Red Wine? Alcopops?
We all know this, but alcohol is just full of empty calories. However we all need a social life as well.
If you are a regular drinker and enjoy a few bottles in the house every night, start by have 1-2 less and you will immediately see a difference within the first couple of weeks.
The myth is that the lighter the drink the less impact it has on your figure, so the likes of Jack Daniels and Red Wine is a no go. Try Gin and Tonic and a squeeze of lemon.

A great way to reduce that hangover is to drink a glass of water between each beverage and eat a banana before you go to bed…..if you go to bed.

9. How often do you ride the Carb Train?
If you are going include carbs in your meals, make sure it is only 1 meal per day. So Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Just by monitoring this you should see a quick results.

10. Protein BALLS!
I loveee the Protein Balls, they are a great quick fix once you have made them, Try this easy recipe!

1. Stir oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate, flax seeds, and protein powder together in a bowl until evenly mixed. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
2. Scoop chilled mixture into balls. Keep cold until serving.
To give them that extra edge, roll them in coconut flakes before popping them into the fridge.
